India's car industry has proved an adept owner of Britain's Jaguar Land Rover, and now the country's coachbuilders want to branch out into Ferrari's turf, with the introduction at the Auto Expo 2018 of the DC Designs TCA mid-engined supercar.
The TCA (the name stands for Titanium, Carbon, Aluminum) is powered by a 3.8-liter V6 producing 320 horsepower. It drives the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission.
The TCA's materials are remarkable because the model's predecessor, the Avanti, employed old-style steel tube frame construction, so the TCA's use of a titanium, carbon fiber and aluminum unit body represents an advance for the company.
