Ferrari could be set to release a refreshed 488 GTB, as spy shots nabbed by Autoblog hint at refined sports car in the works.
With parts of the car swaddled in camouflage aimed at foiling such sneaky photography, a new 488 GTB looks like it could sport new front and rear intakes and redesigned front splitter, as well as reworked front and rear fenders. And according to Autoblog‘s photographer the new 488 could be dubbed the 488 GTO.
There’s no hint at what performance tweaks have been made under the hood, but we can expect to see the next 488 stick with the turbocharged engine of its predecessor, which marked a move away from the signature dish of normally aspirated motors found in the mid-engined 458 and 430 Ferraris.
The engine will likely have been given a good reworking to kick more horses out of the V8, with better turbocharging and engine dynamics also expected.
